Running Through Treacle

We both feel like we're running through treacle at the moment. Surviving each day is the main aim and long distance plans are hard to focus on.

Not that the wedding is that far off any more. 10 months. We should really be getting into it now but a combination of flu, strange working patterns and an all pervading sense of uncertainty at the moment have combined to ill effect. That's not uncertainty about the wedding I hasten to add!!! More mundane stuff than that.

On the upside a couple of good mates from university in Cardiff got together about 18 months ago and last week we got an invite to their wedding in London. They're getting hitched on January 19, 2009, - about a month from now. No messing with their arrangements. Get the date, sort a venue, get some clobber and get on with it. Looking forward to it and I would imagine it will give Samantha some ideas...

About the Blog

How did it start? Well it started with a kiss on February 22 2007. Ahhh I hear you say but actually after weeks of flirting (following 10 months of Richard flirting with me and me not noticing until one day I saw the light) I got very drunk and on a night out in Chester said: "You going to kiss me then or what?". He happily (I think) obliged and the rest as they say is history. To the cheers of our colleagues (we both used to work at the Chester Chronicle which is where we met) we instantly became a couple, said 'I love you' after six weeks, got engaged after 10 months together in Paris on Richard's 31st birthday and then moved into our lovely home. It was perfect. Yes, you can say Ahhhh now.
