Hen Party!
I took a magazine quiz to see what kind of hen party would suit me and it came up with 'Weekend away in Amsterdam' personally I would rather die then go to Amsterdam for a boozy weekend as the magazine suggested.
Yes I want to have fun, yes I want to have a few drink maybe even get drunk but the idea of a drunken night out abroad with 'L'plates on sounds awful.
But then I can't quite decide what I would want to do otherwise. My cousin Laura's cousin Chloe is also getting married next year and has opted for a girlie week away to Palma.
That sound bliss to me and if I could afford it and thought my girlies could scrape together the cash I would copy her. However, I can't even afford a honeymoon at the moment so am thinking going away for a week would be stretching things a bit too much.
Even a weekend abroad these days can cost a fortune due to the state of the pound against the Euro and going outside Europe is too far.
My ultimate, ultimate hen party would be to go to New York for a spa break with all of my friends. If we were in our 30's and single maybe we could all afford it. But not in this life time!!
So now I am thinking of a spa weekend away in this country. Somewhere where on the Friday evening we can all meet maybe have a meal in the hotel, maybe all have room service in one room in PJs (I love girlie gossip in PJs-it can't be beaten). Spa on the Saturday and then head to the local town/city for a night out. Maybe with the 'L' plates but without going too far.
Then on the Sunday do some sort of activity then depart.
The location will be a tricky one to agree on. My bridesmaids and friends live all the country from Edinburgh to Poole, Devon to Blackpool.
Personally Newcastle will always be a home to me so I would quite like to go there, maybe the Lakes, maybe Dunkeld in Scotland which is where I always dreamed I would get married as I fell in love with it when at a conference.
I am sure I will be reminded by Kim and Laura that I am not in charge of organising it but I want to remember it for ever as I only plan on doing it once!!

What kind of magazine reccommends dying then going to Amsterdam? Zombie Brides Monthly?
i think the bride to be should take part in organizing a hen night, i mean it is her last night of freedom.
