A message from Denise
After we went dress shopping a few months ago Denise snet me the following email and is happy for me to pop it on here. It made me cry!
Dear Samantha
I enjoyed Saturday immensely - was so glad to have been asked (it's
quite an honour you know!), and felt moved to penning a little something
for your memory box:
The Day You Tried Some Dresses On
The day you tried some dresses on
it rained and rained all day,
Our feet were wet, our trousers soaked
Our brollies flew away!
We wandered limply from shop to shop
Our spirits slightly soaked,
But the dresses we saw really gladdened our hearts
as they became uncloaked.
From plastic bags and cotton sheaths
these visions of beauty emerged,
and once tried on and all laced up
we soon became re-charged.
You coyly appeared in various shapes
of taffeta, satin and lace,
but above the glamour of the gowns
was always a beautiful face.
Your choices are many Samantha, sweetheart,
and you're just at the start of the road,
But I'll never forget the 'first wedding dress trial',
and my memory of you in the 'gold'!
Whatever your choice it will be the right one,
and your dress will be perfect and true
But much more important is the person inside
and that person, my darling is you!!
Much love always - here whenever you need me
